End of Week Reminders

Good evening families,

 Just a few reminders as we head into the weekend:

 1. Monday, October 9th is a non-student day at Cordelia Hills and for all of Fairfield-Suisun Unified. School will resume Tuesday, October 10th. 

 2. The Coyote Color Fun Run is UNDERWAY. We kicked it off with an awesome Pep Rally today. The challenge to families tonight is to get onto FUNRUN.COM and to get registered. 
The registration code for our school is 519-387

 The class with the most registrations tonight will get to shave my head (I'm not sure why I agreed to that idea but yes, that is it). Remember, the Fun Run raises funds for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics education at Cordelia Hills. Funds directly benefit our students and classes.Thank you for your support!  3. Congrats to to the many families that walked (or biked) to school this last Wednesday and thank you to the many volunteers that helped pass out incentive tickets. We appreciate the support. Remember, we highly encourage students to walk, bike, skate, or scooter whenever possible.

 4. Student of the Month lunch is tomorrow. If your student received a certificate, they are welcome to join me for Pizza Lunch tomorrow in the MPR at their assigned lunch time. If they are in K or TK, they are welcome to join me at 11:15 or 11:50 lunch times.

Welcome to another week at Cordelia Hills! We look forward to our final ramp up to Wednesday's Fun Run. Check out the blog below for information on the Fun Run, the week, and report card conferences.  Top Highlights •  Coyote Color Run takes place this Wednesday, November 8th. Be an Internet Safety Champion Our students have a terrific amount of access to information and infinite methods for communication via the information. With that access comes a need for education and accountability. Many educators struggle to keep up with all that comes with greater access. We reach out to you to partner with us to held build strong internet capable students. Please monitor use by your student. We encourage regular conversations about internet safety. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Thank you to the many volunteers who helped in making The Coyote Howl a success. Seeing smiling faces and kids enjoying the evening is always the best and your hard work, determination, time, and donations made it happen Friday night! Go Coyotes! Parent Requests Many of you have asked if you can request a teacher for your child. The short answer is no. We work hard as a staff to ensure our classes are balanced in academics, behaviors, gender, diversity and size. Thank you for trusting us with your child. MAP Testing District benchmark MAP testing has begun in grades 1-5. The end of year assessments take place in both ELA and math and will be reported on the end of year report card. Thank you for your support in making sure your child is at school everyday!
