Welcome to another week at Cordelia Hills! We look forward to our final ramp up to Wednesday's Fun Run. Check out the blog below for information on the Fun Run, the week, and report card conferences. 

Top Highlights

• Coyote Color Run takes place this Wednesday, November 8th. The run schedule is set with:

TK-K @ 10:00
4-5 @ 11
1-3 @ 12:30

 The run will take place on the Upper Field. Funrun.com is open and is accepting online pledges for support of STEAM funding at Cordelia Hills. These last few days are huge for the effort. Thanks in advance. Remember to have your child wear running clothes. They are welcome to bring goggles or glasses!

 • Halloween Parade The annual Halloween parades featured 650 students marching across campus in an amazing array of costumes. Check out photos at the end of the blog!
News, information, updates

• Trimester Wraps up and report card conferences are coming up from November 13th-November 17th. Teachers will be reaching out to set a conference schedule with you. Report card conferences are an opportunity to celebrate areas of success and to set growth goals for the remaining 2/3 of the school year. We look forward to working with you! Remember, school dismisses at 11:50 (grades 1-5) and 11:40 (TK and K). 

• Attendance Matters! Remember, our school wide goal is 97% attendance. We fell short of our goal 3 of the last 5 days. Please establish healthy attendance habits early. Research shows that students who are chronically absent (more than 10% of the school year) in grades TK-1 tend to have persistent attendance and academic issues thru high school.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Thank you to the many volunteers who helped in making The Coyote Howl a success. Seeing smiling faces and kids enjoying the evening is always the best and your hard work, determination, time, and donations made it happen Friday night! Go Coyotes! Parent Requests Many of you have asked if you can request a teacher for your child. The short answer is no. We work hard as a staff to ensure our classes are balanced in academics, behaviors, gender, diversity and size. Thank you for trusting us with your child. MAP Testing District benchmark MAP testing has begun in grades 1-5. The end of year assessments take place in both ELA and math and will be reported on the end of year report card. Thank you for your support in making sure your child is at school everyday!
