Coyote Family Update

After a warm week, Fall has definitely arrived at Cordelia Hills. Have a great week and thanks for allowing us the chance to spend so much time with your amazing children!

Top Highlights

Trunk or Treat was a smashing success. Hundreds of children and community members made the trek thru the Spooky Route. A special thanks to Dina and Travis, the many staff members and parents, and to the PTA for your support of the event. I loved seeing the many costumes and smiles!

Fall Testing Wraps Up Fall District testing, including MAP and GATE testing has wrapped up. Our students put in a ton of work. MAP scores show our school to be ranked in the top echelon of K-5 schools in the District. I believe that every student can be successful and can meet growth expectations. Despite our scores, we still have students that need our support and attention if they are going to meet growth goals. We will share data with you at upcoming report card conferences.

Coyote Color Run Campaign is back underway! After some time off to recover from the North Bay fire events, our Coyote Run campaign is back. The event will take place on November 8th. The schedule will hold the same (TK-K @ 10:00, 4-5 @ 11, and 1-3 @ 12:30). Funrun.com is open and is accepting online pledges! Thank you in advance for your support of Cordelia Hills!

Red Ribbon Week We recognized Red Ribbon Week last week with memorabilia and reminders to students and with a law enforcement presentation. Thank you for support of community wide efforts to keep our students healthy and drug free!

News, Reminders, and Upcoming Events

Our attendance goal at Cordelia Hills is 98%. We are currently holding right near 97%. 98% is definitely a stretch goal but I believe we can do it. Remember to please try to schedule appointments and events outside of the school day and to communicate with the main office and teacher if you have to miss school.

Halloween Parade We will hold our annual Halloween Parade tomorrow, 10/31 starting around 8:25. Students will do two laps around the yard and thru the amphitheater. Students are welcome to wear costumes but please remember no masks, fake blood, or weapons allowed as part of the costumes. Parents are welcome to stay and watch the parade from the amphitheater steps!

Traffic Please remember to pull up in the white unloading zone, avoid parking and leaving the car while in the white unloading zone, and please avoid doing U-Turns in the middle of the area in front of the school. This greatly helps the traffic flow process. Your cooperation is much appreciated!
