CHE Update for 5/21

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Thank you to the many volunteers who helped in making The Coyote Howl a success. Seeing smiling faces and kids enjoying the evening is always the best and your hard work, determination, time, and donations made it happen Friday night! Go Coyotes!

Parent Requests

Many of you have asked if you can request a teacher for your child. The short answer is no. We work hard as a staff to ensure our classes are balanced in academics, behaviors, gender, diversity and size. Thank you for trusting us with your child.

MAP Testing

District benchmark MAP testing has begun in grades 1-5. The end of year assessments take place in both ELA and math and will be reported on the end of year report card. Thank you for your support in making sure your child is at school everyday!

OLD News Reminders:

Chromebook 1:1

As I mentioned in previous posts, CH will be 1:1 with Chromebook devices next year. Students will have three options for Chromebooks:

1. Use personal devices at school.
2. Use school devices at school only (signed out to student but kept in the classroom).
3. Use school devices at school and home (signed out to student and brought to and from school each day, all year).

Each option will require parent signature on device paperwork. We are tentatively scheduled to hold two informational/check-out days on August 14th and 15th. More information on time and exact details will come out soon.

Illuminate Portal: Starting next year, all report cards and progress reports will be electronic for all students in FSUSD. For students in TK-5, report cards will be accessible via Illuminate. You will receive a letter with information on how to sign up and with specific access code information for your student. Please note that the portal is different for middle school and high school students.

Comments

  1. How do you get the code to set up the account? My daughter is in 1st grade. I went to the site to try and set up an account and it said I need a code from the school. Did I miss something?

    1. Hi! There was slight delay in getting the letters prepared and out. We expect them to be released to parents this week so you should expect them in an envelope in the backpacks.
