CHE Update for 2/27

Thank you to parents and our terrific PTA. Without your support of our students and school, we couldn't make this a terrific place to grow, learn, and work! Your countless hours of volunteering, your financial donations, your positive thoughts, constructive feedback, and the homework help are so important to everything we do. So thanks!

Some important dates and events are coming up this week and beyond:

1. Family Reading Night is coming this Thursday, 3/2 from 5:30-7:30. Flyers with information went home last week so check backpacks for more information. Every student gets a free book for coming (while supplies last), light refreshments/story time through the evening, and every student that reads to an adult at Family Reading night gets a free bookmark. If you have books you would like to donate, drop them off in the main office all week!!  We can't wait to celebrate Dr. Seuss with you!

2. A reminder that Friday is the end of the report card period and is a "non-student" teacher workday. Teachers will be working feverishly to complete report cards and to get those out to you. 2nd trimester parent teacher conferences are not for all students but if staff reaches out and wants to meet with you, please make every effort to make and keep an appointment. As always, if you aren't contacted about a conference but want to sit down with the classroom teacher, please feel free to contact them.

3. 6th grade orientation: GVMS is holding an orientation night on March 8th from 5:30-6:30 in the Green Valley Middle gym. All incoming 6th graders should attend with parents and they should bring the enrollment packet they received from their teacher.
Upcoming Dates:
