Welcome to another week, Coyote Families!

The brisk, busy weeks continue! Our attendance continues to suffer from the high rates of student sickness. While we definitely encourage students to stay home if they are sick, especially if they have a fever or are throwing up, we want to encourage families to avoid any unexcused absences! We hope everyone stays health. We love having our kids here!

Updates and News
Great Kindness Challenge: This week is the Great Kindness Challenge and we our school, along with individual classes, have activities planned.  You can participate. Jump Rope for Heart: We are hosting Jump Rope for Heart. More details have been sent home with the students, including the information on our February 6th celebration. Thanks in advance for your support and reach out with any questions.

FAMILY Math Night: Our annual family math night is coming up this Thursday, January 25th starting at 5:30 in the MPR. We welcome everyone to come join the math fun!

Progress Reports: Progress reports are being prepared right now. I am reading through all of the progress reports and we expect them to be sent home on Friday. Not all students will receive a progress report.

Welcome to another week at Cordelia Hills! We look forward to our final ramp up to Wednesday's Fun Run. Check out the blog below for information on the Fun Run, the week, and report card conferences.  Top Highlights •  Coyote Color Run takes place this Wednesday, November 8th. The run  schedule is set with: TK-K @ 10:00 4-5 @ 11 1-3 @ 12:30 The run will take place on the Upper Field.  Funrun.com  is open and is accepting online pledges for support of STEAM funding at Cordelia Hills. These last few days are huge for the effort. Thanks in advance. Remember to have your child wear running clothes. Be an Internet Safety Champion Our students have a terrific amount of access to information and infinite methods for communication via the information. With that access comes a need for education and accountability. Many educators struggle to keep up with all that comes with greater access. We reach out to you to partner with us to held build strong internet capable students. Please monitor use by your student. We encourage regular conversations about internet safety. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Thank you to the many volunteers who helped in making The Coyote Howl a success. Seeing smiling faces and kids enjoying the evening is always the best and your hard work, determination, time, and donations made it happen Friday night! Go Coyotes! Parent Requests Many of you have asked if you can request a teacher for your child. The short answer is no. We work hard as a staff to ensure our classes are balanced in academics, behaviors, gender, diversity and size. Thank you for trusting us with your child. MAP Testing District benchmark MAP testing has begun in grades 1-5. The end of year assessments take place in both ELA and math and will be reported on the end of year report card. Thank you for your support in making sure your child is at school everyday!
