CHE Family Update for 1/29

After a rainy, cloudy week, we are looking forward to some warmer temperatures! Some quick updates and notes for the week!

MAP Testing: District MAP testing is taking place starting next week in grades 1-5. The two week window covers all students in ELA and Math. We are focused on GROWTH for all students and I believe we will see growth for 100% of our students!

Progress Reports: Progress reports should have gone home on Friday. Remember, these are a snapshot in time and I tell all students that they have time to make growth but have to take advantage of the time they have and work hard. Most teachers allow re-do tests, extended deadlines, and provide additional academic support for struggling students. If you have questions about your students progress report, please reach out to the teacher and seek assistance.

Attendance: In order to be successful, students have to be at school. While we understand the tough flu and cold season has many students out, please remember to send your child to school every other day unless it is absolutely necessary to miss school. Also, please send a note, call, or email any notes/documentation related to attendance. It is a huge help to us.
