Welcome back to Cordelia Hills. I will be sending out a ton of information this week but I wanted to quickly update you about a few important things for tomorrow.

Just a few reminders:

1. All students start at 8:20 tomorrow. TK/K will be at school until 11:40 and grades 1-5 will be at school until 1:35. This is the regular schedule for Wednesdays.

2. A reminder that the school gate opens for breakfast at 7:55 (red door) and the other entrances (large roll up gate and back gate) open at 8:15. To accommodate the larger crowds, we will open at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, the first day of school. 

 3. ALL THIRD GRADE PARENTS: 3rd grade teachers will have computer device/bring your own device meetings tomorrow at 1:45 and 5:00 to talk about device use at school. All parents are highly encouraged to go! If you can't make it, email debbies@fsusd.org and she can assist you with the needed information!

4. We will have some photo booth props located near the top of the amphitheater for students and parents to take a first day of school photo! We hope you can join in the fun. Share the photos with me at stevetr@fsusd.org

Welcome to another week at Cordelia Hills! We look forward to our final ramp up to Wednesday's Fun Run. Be an Internet Safety Champion Our students have a terrific amount of access to information and infinite methods for communication via the information. With that access comes a need for education and accountability. Many educators struggle to keep up with all that comes with greater access. We reach out to you to partner with us to held build strong internet capable students. Please monitor use by your student. We encourage regular conversations about internet safety. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Thank you to the many volunteers who helped in making The Coyote Howl a success. Seeing smiling faces and kids enjoying the evening is always the best and your hard work, determination, time, and donations made it happen Friday night! Go Coyotes! Parent Requests Many of you have asked if you can request a teacher for your child. The short answer is no. We work hard as a staff to ensure our classes are balanced in academics, behaviors, gender, diversity and size. Thank you for trusting us with your child. MAP Testing District benchmark MAP testing has begun in grades 1-5. The end of year assessments take place in both ELA and math and will be reported on the end of year report card. Thank you for your support in making sure your child is at school everyday!
