I am so excited to join the Cordelia Hills school community. I grew up 35 minutes from here in the small town of Rodeo (Contra Costa County). I attended school in the John Swett Unified School District (K-12). After high school, I graduated from UC Berkeley in 2002, attended the SF State Credential program and was teaching at John Swett High School by October of 2003. I worked at Swett for several years before moving to the principal position at Rodeo Hills Elementary. I was at RHES for six year before making the move to Cordelia.

I currently live in Green Valley with my wife and two daughters (8 and 10). I have a passion for running, spending time with family and friends, and good food. I look forward to serving the students of this community in what is premier, ever changing learning environment.

Welcome to another week at Cordelia Hills! We look forward to our final ramp up to Wednesday's Fun Run. Check out the blog below for information on the Fun Run, the week, and report card conferences.  Top Highlights •  Coyote Color Run takes place this Wednesday, November 8th. The run  schedule is set with: TK-K @ 10:00 4-5 @ 11 1-3 @ 12:30 The run will take place on the Upper Field.  Funrun.com  is open and is accepting online pledges for support of STEAM funding at Cordelia Hills. Be an Internet Safety Champion Our students have a terrific amount of access to information and infinite methods for communication via the information. With that access comes a need for education and accountability. Many educators struggle to keep up with all that comes with greater access. We reach out to you to partner with us to held build strong internet capable students. Please monitor use by your student. We encourage regular conversations about internet safety. Seeing smiling faces and kids enjoying the evening is always the best and your hard work, determination, time, and donations made it happen Friday night! Go Coyotes! Parent Requests Many of you have asked if you can request a teacher for your child. The short answer is no. We work hard as a staff to ensure our classes are balanced in academics, behaviors, gender, diversity and size. Thank you for trusting us with your child. MAP Testing District benchmark MAP testing has begun in grades 1-5. The end of year assessments take place in both ELA and math and will be reported on the end of year report card.
