Our 5th graders are preparing for the 5th Grade Farewell. The 2018 Farewell will take place on Friday, June 8th starting at 10:30 a.m. in the MPR. A few things to note: Timing : The event will start at 10:30 and will last approximately one hour (until 11:50). Students will be dismissed at the end of the event as the day is a minimum day. Event: The event will start in the MPR and will then transition to the quad. Parents are welcome to come into the MPR starting at 9:50. After the MPR portion of the event, guests will be asked to move to the quad stairs. Guests : We are asking the families limit guests to no more than 2 guests per student . With 120 seated students and limited space in the MPR, we simply won't have enough room for many more people. Please remember, this is a farewell celebration and it is not a promotion/graduation and students will not receive a certificate and names will not be called individually. Good morning everyone!! Wow! What a Super Bowl. I hope you enjoyed your weekend (football fan or not). I have a ton of information for the week. As always, contact me anytime with questions. 1. Traffic : Please remember that student, staff, and community safety is a top priority for our school. We try to spend a lot of time discussing rules, procedures, and being safe with students over the course of the year. Unfortunately, the message seems to go out the window when it comes to driving in front of the school, especially during drop off and pick up. Please remember to obey all traffic rules, to follow the directives of staff working during traffic pick up and drop off, and to just slow down. Some basic guidelines: A. It is easier to park and walk in. I know this isn't always possible but it is the safest thing you can do. B. It is a school zone. Please keep the speed down and avoid U-Turns, dropping your child off in the middle of the street, and any illegal parking. While I...
